Lovely signs of spring. I particularly liked the helebore - or was it a little purple anemone?We had a walk on the Surrey Downs on Saturday. Now back in morocco where it is HOT already.
Aren't the shapes, lines, forms, textures, colors, scents of plants simply astounding! You do such a good job of capturing their best qualities, with beauty.
@ ELIZABETH: The helebore was quite a surprise. I spotted it accross a brook and decided to walk back to the little bridge and up again on the other side. When I finally found it again, I had quite a few scratches. Well worth it. ;-)
@ DEBBIE EGIZIO: Oberon must have called them in when I showed up! ;-)
@ ANDRE VELOUX: Merci! Would you believe when I tell you that I am actually not happy with my pictures? I used to shoot black and white with my analog camera, those images where much sharper. I can't seem to produce the same results with my digital one. :-(
@ MAALIE: There are a few of those berries left on the Hawthorne bushes. Sign of a mild winter?
@ SARA: Thank you! :-) The sheer variety of shapes and colors kept me out there in the woods til it was beginning to get too dark to take pictures, and I grew a little concerned about getting lost in the woods.
The hellebores are lovely Merisi, as are all the photos. We have hellebores in bloom in the back garden now too, but they are white and darkest purple. I love the colour of these ones - remind me of a taffeta ballgown :)
