Im Kaffeehaus

In the Quiet
of the Early Morning

Café Frauenhuber
Himmelpfortgassee

Magazines and Newspapers
Neatly stacked, waiting
for the first morning patrons

Choice seating
still available

The left window seat
is already taken

Look,
another corner table,
how about sitting here?

Would you rather
chose this cozy corner?

Under this table lamp,
you say?

The first Melange,
followed by another cup?

Beautiful! One of my dreams is running a coffee shop some day, and this set of pictures gives me lots of inspiration!

Vienna seems to be on another planet far out in the solar system...
Utter serenity and quietude reigns supreme there does it not?
Well except for the occasional Lipanzzaner stallion going clip-clop, clip-clop...ahem

Such quiet refinement -- I'll join you at that corner table. Maybe the cute guy would like to come along -- but he'll need to change out of those grubby work clothes. ..

Loved these...!!!
So different than many people's mornings where they drive through a fast food window and gulp coffee down in their cars on the way to work....

Thank you for taking me to my favorite Wiener Kaffeehaus, Merisi.

After the past week, I really needed it!

@ Rashed,
thank you,
and may your dream come true soon!

@ ParisBreakfasts,
oh well, not always: Those pesky Lipizzaner have stopped me more than once in my tracks! They insist on crossing the street when they trot from their royal digs over to the imperial riding hall. *tsktsk*

@ Vicki Lane,
yes, please bring him along!
(Dear readers,
the cute guy lives in the North Carolina mountains - swing over to Vicki, if you'd like to get to know him. *wink*)

Merisi, now my day has had a touch of grace and beauty, and delicious coffee. Thank you!

Inspired by your recent references, I went to my library yesterday to find The Book of Disquiet, in Stack 7. As I presented it to the librarian for check out, he exclaimed, "I've just returned this book. I think we are the first people to check it out in years!"

He said that it was also recommended to him by a friend. It is good to see what a great community is filled with readers.

I love the mellow tones in this post which seem to me to be established by the key-note chrysanthemums.
